Crazy Pineapple Poker Rule

Crazy Pineapple Poker rules are very similar to the Texas Holdem rule book. There are a few small differences however, and I will outline the different Crazy Pineapple Poker rule in this guide.

There are two basic changes in the Pineapple Poker rules from that of Texas Holdem Poker.

  1. The players are dealt a third extra card.
  2. You must discard a hole card at some point in time
    1. Crazy Pineapple Poker --> Discard after the flop
    2. Pineapple Poker --> Discard before before flop
    3. Pineapple Holdem --> Discard after the flop

Betting

Similar to Texas Holdem rules, Pineapple poker begins just the same. The two players to the left of the dealer button must post a small blind and large blind, respectively. If the game has an ante, then players must post this as well. The difference in playing Pineapple Poker is that players are now dealt three hole cards, rather than the two they would receive when playing Texas Holdem Poker.

In a regular Pineapple Poker or Pineapple Holdem game, players must discard one hole card after the round of betting occurs. If you are playing Crazy Pineapple Poker you do not discard one of your cards until after the flop.

Flop

Just as in Texas Holdem Poker, the Pineapple Poker ruls is the dealer burns a card then turns three cards face up on the table and a round of betting occurs. This community of cards is known as the flop. If you are playing Crazy Pineapple Poker, you must discard one of your hole cards after the betting occurs.

However easy at may sound to discard, you may be split on your decision of whether to keep a solid hand such as a pair of aces, or to keep a drawing hand, such as an ace high flush draw. Your discard should depend on the number of players that are in the hand after the betting has occured because it is more profitable for you to play the hand according to the pot odds that you are getting.

Turn

Another card is burned and another card is added to the community of cards. A round of betting takes place.

River

A card is burned and a final card is added to the community of cards. A round of betting takes place and afterwards players show their cards to determine the winner at the showdown.

Showdown

The best 5 card poker hand wins the pot.
